WA was lauded again, taking many awards, as well as having multiple wines given very high scores.

As always, we are working to secure allocation of the Varietal Winner’s, but these will be in very short supply. Our pick of the wines from the new release are as follows:
Below are our picks for each varietal:

Cabernet

2015 Penley Estate ‘Helios’ Cabernet Sauvignon –While Margaret River is the go to place for Australian Cabernet, Coonawarra should not be forgotten. Incredible fruit depth and length…it just rolls through your mouth and you are drawn in completely. Super premium Cabernet…amazing wine! $82.95 per bottle.

2013 Singlefile ‘Philip Adrian’ Cabernet – 98 points – Super rare, super amazing! This will not be left long after another string of awards for follow up vintages. Chance to own an icon of WA wine! $74.95 per bottle

Shiraz

2016 Seville Estate Old Vine Shiraz – 98 Points – From vines planted in 1972, this shiraz is precision personified. Absolutely luscious…the old vines and used of used oak barrels really bring this home. It is incredible and should not be missed. $62.95 per bottle.

Riesling

2017 Dukes Magpie Hill Reserve Riesling - BEST WINE - This is another gem from this very underrated winery in the Great Southern of WA. Dukes has been growing its cult following for some years now, culminating in the first 99 point Riesling for the 2017 Vintage, from Sir James H.

ALLOCATION EXHAUSTED.

2017 Grosset Clare Valley Polish Hill. - 98 points - This is absolutely beautiful. Filled with voluminous floral aromatics, with hints of talc and lavender, produce an exuberant youthfulness that gives vitality to a palate fleshed out by concentrated lime juice. The tight structure is there without the steeliness; controlled power, intensity and that characteristic ultra-dry character that thrills on the finish. $49.95 per bottle.

Chardonnay

2015 Singlefile Vivienne Chardonnay - 98 points

ALLOCATION EXHAUSTED to the point that we didn't even get to taste! Only 87 cases made.

2015 Devil's Lair 9th Chamber - 98 points

ALLOCATION EXHAUSTED

2017 Seville Estate Reserve Yarra Valley Chardonnay - 98 Points - So because neither of the top winners have allocation left, we wanted to celebrate something different that still is on-par with the other two. This is an exciting Chardonnay, the Montrachet-like density of this in the mouth. It's a show stopper as it moves from white peach to melon, then swaggers around limey/lemony acidity. - $66.95 per bottle.

Expressions of Interest Only

As mentioned above, please order ASAP to avoid disappointment.

Cheers,

Toby & Tom
